Colombian pop star, Duina del Mar, received her first nomination for a Fox Music US Award 2014 as Best Solo Pop Female for her album Natural. At the 4th annual ceremony, Duina will vie the award along Andrea Lafert and Nuby.
The nominees were selected by public votes with a voting period that concluded on December 20. More than 100 groups of all musical genres will come together on one stage this year to be awarded. Tickets go on sale this 31st and can be purchased here.
Duina del Mar wrapped up 2013 by releasing the song “Besarte La Boquita,”
a fresh and danceable track recorded as a duet with Cabas with whom she performed live at the Mega Fest Movistar 2013. A few days after its debut, “Besarte La Boquita,” composed and produced by both artists, ranked among the top 10 songs of the radio charts in Colombia where it remains solidly since. The video for the song, directed by Duina del Mar, was recorded in Miami alongside Cabas and is soon to be released.
A Nuestra Tierra Award 2013 nominee as Breakthrough Artist of the Year and Best Pop Solo Artist nominee at Shock Awards 2012 for her song, “Muévelo Tuti,” Duina del Mar has shared stage with artists the likes of Alejandro Sanz and Juanes. Recently she appeared alongside rising star, Cuban-American, Kat Dahlia, at Bogota’s Festival Centro performing a versatile version of her single, “Besarte La Boquita.”
The 4th annual ceremony of the Fox Music Awards USA will be held on Saturday, April 26 at the Sheraton hotel in Houston, Texas.
